Sydney Easter Show

I took the train to the Sydney Olympic Park for the annual Sydney Easter Show. To best describe this event would be to compare it to a State Fair which usually consists of livestock, small rides, junk food, strange people wearing brightly colored wigs, cowboys, a lot of kids and the occasional freak. It was actually pretty great and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

You can walk around with some of the farm animals and pet them.

I had to take a photo of this spectacular moment of a donkey relieving herself. Childish, yes I know this.

I have no idea what type of chickens these are but instead of a head with a beak it looks as if the head was replaced by a ball of feathers.
A dairy show room that displayed how to milk a cow. This also made me want to vomit. I'm glad that I don't drink milk.

The farmers actually sleep in the same area with their animals in order to look after them. This is an example of the sleeping quarters. At the top is where the beds are located while below is their storage/kitchen or whatever else they do in there. I found this to be very bizarre. I can't imagine the smell.

I meant to take photos documenting everything that I ate but I guess I was so wrapped up into eating the food that I forgot. But I did remember to take a photo of a tasty heart attack fried cheese stick. Think about a corndog on a stick but replace the hotdog with cheese. Before that I had a bratwurst and fresh lemonade followed by chips (sort of like french fries) drizzled with melted cheese and for dessert chocolate covered strawberries. Indulgence. Yes.
There is a contest between the different regions in Australia where they create a scene using the resources from their farms. The vegetables etc. are real.

The end. I shall go again with Melissa, Jonathan and whoever want so come along. Mostly for the food.
